Aaron began his legal career in Seattle, WA in 2000 at the firm of Harris, Mericle & Wakayama after receiving his Juris Doctorate degree from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago, IL.  In private practice, he advised both domestic and international public and private companies on securities, corporate and commercial, and litigation matters.  In 2005 Aaron returned to his home state of Iowa to work at the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLB) of Des Moines.  Initially hired to assist the Bank with registering a class of securities with the SEC, in 2010 Aaron was appointed General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of the Bank, a role he served in for more than 12 years.  In this role, Aaron served on the Bank’s Executive Team and led many Bank- and FHLBank System-wide projects. Aaron is licensed to practice law in the states of Iowa and Washington.. 

Aaron resides in Norwalk, Iowa with his wife and two boys.  In his free time he enjoys being in the outdoors, reading, volunteering on non-profit boards, coaching soccer, golfing, and spending time with the famIly.
